Another gorgeous day weather wise, But I hear rain is on the way. Our crew of groundskeepers at the college is one of the best around. And I am not just saying that. I have been told that by many professionals in the green industry. For a long time people tried to get groundskeeper jobs because they knew someone and they had no other options at the time. You did not need experience and were basically a laborer. And often the manager or superintendent ended up with more problems then he was having with the flowers, trees, grass, or weather. Well times have changed and most facilities would rather hire someone with experience and good references from past employment. And even then you can have personnel issues. With our staff I try to blend them into a teamwork form of responsibility that goes in the same direction. Everyone as a job and certain function while the whole department works on a large goal and achieving smaller goals along the way. Remember you have to set the table before you can eat at it. And while we sometimes get spread to thin and apart we still manage to get our goals accomplished. But when we work together we are like a well oiled machine, just like cooking with Crisco.
Sports
Ah the Belmont Stakes. Seems like no big deal to the regular sports fan, so we will pick up the slack for all the Johnnie come latelys.
I am taking the number 7 horse Drosselmeyer across the board.
Fineto
This keyboard is acting up today so the short stories will continue next time.
I hope the dirt dried out enough before this next round of rain.
The white trees in flower now are Tree Lilac.
Good Luck, Edwardo Secondino Pagliaro
P.S. Hey Gordon Lightfoot, are they going to raise the Edmond Fitzgerald?
